What is the best way to promote a new site B of B at a trade show?
We have a new big (only) good jewelry website we want to promote a regional trade show next month. What kind of giveaways, posters, etc. is most effective at attracting owners of retail jewelry stores on our website.
The key to trade shows is to stand out. One of the most effective ways is to have an element of interaction. The opening of a competition is the most obvious example, if not the most effective because your audience target (ie retailers) will not be so interested in your gift (unless something dramatic like a car). I've seen remote controlled cars, baskets, massages, all used to generate traffic around a booth. To promote a website, drive traffic and drives sales the two best ways are a PPC campaign with Yahoo Search Marketing or Google Adwords, or follow the path and launch an organic SEO campaign with someone as Virante.
