What physiotherapy for Game Keeper's thumb?
I recently wrecked on my dirt bike and my extended inch, resulting Gamekeepers or Skiers Thumb. I have benefited from surgery and now they want me to physical therapy. I do not have enough money for physical therapy so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for exercises for my thumb. So you know ir books on physical therapy for inches that would be helpful. Thank you.
I realize much PT is expensive, but perhaps you could work a deal with the company reduced payments. Or, maybe you could go once, saying that the therapist can not afford more visits, and request a printout of all the exercises you should do. When I did PT on my shoulder, I asked the guy writing exercises and He gave me several pages of detailed photos of some computer programs showing how to do the exercises. Perhaps your library Local book. Maybe you could ask your surgeon what would be the most important exercises to do, he / she should be able to tell you free. When I broke my finger, the doc said to soak my hand in warm water to warm, then slowly squeeze a rubber ball for ten minutes. Then, ice my finger for 10 minutes. Also, because my finger had not folded in seven weeks, I had to make water warm-up and use my other hand to push very slowly to bend. It was a very painful exercise! But he had to do, it took a few months, and all better now.
