How do I get the GT / Driving Force Pro to work with my PC?
I have a PC running Windows XP and I have the Driving Force Pro (I call it GT Force Pro, and I think that the box). I have a few games on my PC like a steering wheel. How can I get behind the wheel to work with my XP Desktop? Any help is appreciated … I'm planning on getting 18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul.
With Windows, you usually need to obtain and install the driver for the controller. Just google "XP Pro Force pilot line" and you will find it. Softpedia probably. DF Pro is a wheel very popular, made by the manufacturer of the best wheel, Logitech. This is the next step of the GT / driving force that has been done for Gran Turismo 3. I a Force GT that my pc running linux-recognizes when I plug it, support is built into the kernel. There is certainly support in Windows XP and probably includes if a device driver. Besides that support XP, the game itself has to support it. Most driving games Goodwill support of a wheel, but there's shit that will not. This game you have decided to make is that a truck driving simulator? I doubt that even the logitech wheels have enough strength feedback to simulate a 18-wheel, unless it has a steering
