Practice Nunchucks

A system for using the Nunchaku
Many martial artists have been studying the Nunchaku as more a labor of love as something that could be a chore when it comes to making a part of the whole of how martial arts of life. How many of us have ever suffered bruises from our arms, back, legs, neck and other parts of our body when we first decided to take a pair of "nunchucks" and began to do more than simply spin around with no real purpose? We're pretty sure the answer would be "all of us."
In martial arts, as in many parts of life, great success has sometimes a little pain, she either physical or spiritual. We know it is because we all have stood patiently, right or left (or both) Shuto-uchi ("Strike knifehand) will constantly find makiwara in an attempt to tighten our hands and improve our mind sufficient to provide the perfect defensive block and Counter-Strike, without really thinking.
The same is true with "Nunchucks". To become technically "good" to use them, you must practice with them. A lot. Whenever you can, as long as you can. Okay, so that covers the physical part of things, like finding a makiwara make the edges of your hands physically tougher and more able to take and deal a blow. But there Besides using the nunchaku well and with a lot of chi "or" ki "spirit".
Call it "meditation work ", or" thinking-without-thinking "or whatever makes you comfortable. What we mean is that any study will include real nunchaku learning physical techniques (blocks, strikes, kata, fragments and so on) but also take the time to learn issue a block or strike any real meaning.
Imagine yourself in the dojo, "nunchucks" by hand. Warming with figure-8 movements, movements toward the side or any other movements you have chosen to ease the weapon you moving faster faster, more sure of yourself that you've never been before. It's almost like you can see in your mind what you do with the nunchaku five or six or even twenty feet away, but you know all this without knowing it. You and your "nunchucks" have become one thing. There is no difference between the weapon and you and you two can support each other in a block or a strike against straight forward at this time.
This state of consciousness (ie without knowing or seeing without seeing) has many names, and it is not only restricted to martial arts. Many famous musicians report through the same evening when it is just them and their guitar or piano or other instrument, it is they play. The fact is that the simple joy of doing something thing takes far more energy and flow that you create can be better with the nunchuck you've ever been before. That's what you need to work on the study of any martial art is that you do, however, is that you plan including your "nunchuck" practice the martial art.
So remember this when it comes to nunchaku, two faces learning it. It is first of all about physics. You practice and practice with your body and your weapon. The second side is the mind, or the mind and spirit. Trust us when we say that if both parties come together when using the "nunchucks," any system you use to learn them will be a great system.
