History of Heart
Monitors are devices that allow the user to obtain a measure real-time their heart rate. They consist of a transmitter in the form of a chest strap and receiver, usually worn on wrist and doubling as a watch.
The transmitter chest strap measures the number of times the heart beats per minute for users in monitoring tensions around the heart through electrodes in contact with skin. Like a heartbeat is detected, the transmitter sends a signal radio to the receiver that is used to determine the speed at which the heart beats. In the high-end models of this signal is encoded to prevent "Cross Talk" between monitors nearby.
The first wireless monitor ECG heart rate was invented in 1977 by Polar Electro. It was invented as a training aid for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of "intensity training" infiltrators through the world of sport in the eighties and in 1983, the heart rate monitor wireless was first introduced. The device consisted Polar PE 2000 a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter was attached to the chest by either disposable electrodes or an elastic belt electrode while the receiver is a monitor worn like a wristwatch. In the 1990s people were not only looking at heart rate monitors for training needs, but also for their individual needs fitness every day.
The Polar wireless heart monitoring method has been developed at the University of Oulu Department of Electronics, and was originally aimed at coaches and athletes to help improve the quality and effectiveness of their training. Exercise scientists also used in their work after their search.
The selection of monitors available today includes easy to use products for everyone with an interest in their physical health. There is also a large number of receiver designs that have many advanced features. These include, heart rate period average exercise, time in a specific heart rate zone, calories burned during the exercise, as well as logging detail that can be downloaded to a computer.
In December 2005, Textronics Inc. introduced the first garment with sensors integrated into the heart in the form of a sports bra. Special materials within the meaning of sports bra the number of heartbeats and body transmit to a receiver. The garment provides a pleasant alternative to the chest strap.
