What type of gloves should I wear for heavybag and focus mitt training?
I am a mixed martial arts style that incorporates kickboxing, karate, jiu-jitsu. I am looking to buy a new pair of gloves, but few of those'm not sure I should get:. So those are my concerns drive with the heavy bag: use of gloves on the bag of 16 ounces makes me get wet and not punch properly. Should I use fingerless gloves, speed gloves, heavy bag gloves, just hand wraps, or should I use my 16 oz training gloves? Bag gloves are really necessary? Focus Training Glove: Sparring gloves are too big and heavy, they do not allow me to move quickly. Should I use only bandages, gloves, fingerless gloves, bag, or is it better to train with sparring? Gloves Basically, someone tell me what glove to use for: heavy bag training, focus mitt training. Your choices are: sparring gloves, bag of sand, light bag gloves, hand wraps, gloves fingers open. As a former boxer and Golden Glover, who has dabbled in MMA, I think if you get sloppy with 16 oz gloves heavy bag, then you should continue using them until you are not over wet. I trained 10 minutes to five rounds of heavy bags of 16 oz gloves when I was preparing for a fight, and by the 8th round I could hardly hold my hands. Then the training really starts to impact. It is easy to clean punches when you are fresh, many more difficult when you are dog tired. The heavier gloves may be doing you a favor. But if you're looking for a combination of speed and protection, I think taking a 10 oz gloves quality competition might be a good idea. They are much faster, offers the protection you need, and will not be a big shock when you drop the gloves grappling.
