Portable bike, stay in shape wherever you are
A portable exercise bike may be just the piece equipment you need if you want to exercise at home, but you do not have much room for a big clunky piece of equipment training. There are several models to choose from, and you can get all the features you need for a reasonable price!
A portable exercise bike in its simplest form is nothing more than a set of bicycle pedals attached to a frame. In addition, there a means to increase or reduce the resistance of the pedals, it could be a single button all the way to a fancy electronic / Magnetic brake system.
One of the beauties of one of these types of bikes is that you can use workout both upper and lower body. To workout the lower body, place the unit on the ground in front of you, and strap your feet on the pedals with two Velcro straps or plastic, depending on the type you have. Start pedaling, and if it seems too difficult or too easy to pedal, adjust the resistance accordingly.
To use the upper body workout function, place the bike on a sturdy table or against, take the pedals with your hands, the pedals are especially shaped to fit your hands or feet, and start pedaling with your arms. Again, adjust the resistance as needed.
Prices exercise bikes laptops range from about $ 50 for a unit with no frills all the way up to several thousands for a medical grade unit.
A portable exercise bike can be used for aerobics and toning as well as for rehabilitation. They are excellent for recovery of shoulder surgery, be sure to get a physiotherapist if ok.
