Exercise Belt
Maybe hepatitis transmitted with a weight lifting belt used?
They gave me a belt that was not used for some time if it was used for a period by a person infected with hepatitis. I read an article where Romanian athletes have been infected with hepatitis A because the exercise equipment was not properly cleaned by the sweat.
It would be rare, but in the "right" circumstances, some froms of hepatitis can be tranmitted belt pers. However, strains of the virus must be "dead" after so long. Just to be safe, disinfected thoroughly. Wipe with rubbing alcohol, each part thereof, to be sure I'd wear gloves when cleaning intiall. I guess the leather, if thats the case and it can not be cleaned (I know Alcohol can ruin leather), disposing of him. It would be really rare, but better safe than sorry. I am a nurse and I know if it was in the hospital, we would get rid of it it yew leather. Only plastics and metals are cleaned.
