What are the benefits of cross training?

Complete your training by running or the current regime with the addition of various cross training activities can help boost your fitness level while adding variety to your workouts. As you add different activities, you can help combat potential boredom with your routine while challenging your body to make strength through the use of exercises for your body is not used.

Cross training also adds motivation in your workouts. Boredom is the enemy of workouts because it can create a negative association and lead to decreased performance. Change the pace a few times a week will help you stay motivated and focused so you can focus on your workouts and better performance critical.

Excluding cross training in your workouts can lead to overuse injuries and muscle imbalances. Athletes who add workouts to cross-training may fix the pronation that occurs when certain muscles are overused and never allowed any rest. This can help you become a better athlete.
