putting and keeping weight on my dog!?
Hello … ive got a 9 month old breed reg. ACD intact male red. Now that the calving season, we are the hours the hours the movement of cows, bulls, sheep, goats etc. then working at the butcher feilds move it around a year and and across all different areas … im either a quad or horseback. and my dog works all animals. Not to mention his walks and sesions training, then this spring / summer we're going to do with the lady i compititive apprenticship with (im 16) There is unlimited good quality puppy chow is often raw meat (legs goats, deer, beef etc.) and is fed 3 balls satin every day and it continues to lose weight … He has been wormed …. please help!
This is quite normal in a young shepherd dog active. I bet he is muscular and very healthy. This dog is a marathon runner and in good work hard. You may be able to increase its satin balls, but this may not help. I have the same problem with my young hunting dogs. Darn hard to keep weight on a good dog for young workers. You might want to look in a performance like dog food or Diamond Performance Dog Food Native Performance. It there are others too, but go with a yield of good quality food. It is simply not enough energy in most food puppy to maintain the weight of a good working dog.
