Grand-son of the eminent Abraham-Louis Perrelet, Louis (1781-1854), suffered its first years of training under the watchful but benevolent eye of his grandfather, in Le Locle. After adulthood, he chose to leave the harsh mountain climate for the excitement that Paris had to offer.
There he is known to have worked for the famous Abraham-Louis Breguet, the more likely a contact established by his grandfather. This step obviously helped to sharpen skills Louis-Frédéric insofar as he soon was granted access to the royal court. On its merits, he has served not less than three French kings the Royal as a watchmaker. He also gained fame by a display of many, culminating in winning 4 gold medals for the work of outstanding timepieces. In 1827, he filed a patent application for a new invention, the chronograph mechanism. His patent was officially registered its name on March 11, 1828. This invention enabled the Academy of Sciences "in Paris to give him with another gold medal a few years later. Transcripts of the Academy were recorded as follows:
"Mr. Perrelet has now been accepted into the ranks distinguished watchmakers of the highest order because of its expertise and experience … in all his works, you will find a good layout and execution perfectly illustrating the hands of the artist to whom we owe the invention of the double stop. "
Driven by the passion Similarly, engineers have designed a series of new Perrelet timepieces by reinterpreting this complication with the possibilities offered by technology today. The contemporary design is enhanced by using a natural rubber strap that has was engraved with the logo Perrelet. A deployment buckle is gold standard for both models.
The anti-reflective sapphire glass allows a view on the complexity of the skeleton movement beautifully revealing rhodium and platinum bridges, blued screws, polished and angle pieces and to allow the gun ruling without knowing the spotlight. The entire masterpiece watch provides the connoisseur with an eye for the fascinating journey that would surely also called Louis-Frederic.
